Controls changes

Here's how the controls looked when I got the sling seat out of the way. I removed the pushrod from the stick to the belcrank behind the aft spar.

 

- Old bearing blocks didn't inspire confidence for me; plus they seemed to jam on occasion.
 

I replaced all the torque tube bearings with "flanged bearings" to eliminate any slop or possibility of things getting jammed up.
That required creating separate links from the interconnect rod ends to the torque tube belcrank/ lever arm.

Next thing to simplify came in the pitch control.

To quote "Pops" on HomeBuiltAirplanes.com, "If it isn't there, it doesn't cost or weigh anything, it can't break and there's no maintenance..."

I wish I'd weighed what came out and what went in. Shoulda, coulda, woulda...
