Seating changes

I started by cutting a cardboard template of the existing space between the spars.

Repeat until the space is represented accurately.

I reshaped them to a form simular to the seat in my car and taped them to a stick for alignment.

and cross-braced them with more cardboard and green autobody tape for rigiditity. I love that stuff...

I covered a mailing tube with plastic sheeting to shape the Last-A-Foam 1/4" board with a handy weight. Yup, sturdy enough!

I laid up 2 layers of carbon fibre cloth with AeroPoxy on the "bottom side" and let it cure over night.

Pull the peelply off the top face layer; it's pretty...

Trim to fit

That worked so well, I replaced the plywood seatback with another foam composite structure.

Once again, I should have weighed the results of before and after and I forgot to do that. Bummer.
