My prop is built for the Lycoming prop hub so the blades are a little thicker thus the price is more. I paid about $380 for the 65 X 72 Sterba. I friend of mine just bought a prop for his Dragonfly and it cost him $280 or so. I think his was a Props Inc propellor. -- zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Micheal Mims SP290 (Sky Pig 290) ,..Building Cowling now mailto:mikemims@home.com http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/4136/ Aliso Viejo Ca ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: KR-1 Help From: jscott.pilot@juno.com Date: Sat, 13 Feb 1999 18:28:37 -0800 X-Message-Number: 6 Whether or not you build 51% has nothing to do with the inspection and licensing of the plane. The 51% rule only has to do with whether or not the FAA will issue you a mechanics certificate to perform the maintenance and inspection on this plane. FWIW, I had a bok of pictures and builders log sitting ont he work bench, but the inspector wasn't interested in looking at them. He was interested in doing the inspection, paperwork, and hearing me say the magic 51% words.
