Hi builders.  I just ordered my KR-2S plans = last week and=20 would like to get my garage/workshop in order.  Besides=20 cleaning/re-organizing it I want to build my work bench.

So far I was going to build a 4' X 16' table about = 34''=20 high.  This would be using an all 2' X 6' Frame with cross braces = and 2 of=20 4'X8' sheets 3/4' plywood for the top.  I'll make some shelfs = underneath=20 for storage.  I will be taking extreme care to ensure it is level = and=20 flat.

Question:  Before I start I would appreciate = any opinions=20 from those who have or would have built theirs different in regards to = size,=20 height, frame, material, etc... Should I leave a lip for clamping to the = table=20 top?

With just starting my project, I know I will live = with this=20 bench for YEARS!!!

I left a 1 1/2" lip all around the table. Never know what you might want to clamp to the table. Also like Mike said once the boat is done the table gets in the way, so I figured that if its screwed together it can be taken apart and stored for the next project.
