If you should attempt to do so, with the light "feedback" from the aerodynamic control forces, the pitch control will stay wherever you place it. This will only increase Pilot Induced Occilations, as the centering force (and stability ) will now be non-existent. All attempts should be made to reduce any forms of friction in the control system, in order to get maximum aerodynamic feedback. When that feedback is low, as in the KR aircraft, Certified aircraft usually use a "down" spring, a spring that tends to push the stick forward. This requires trim forces in the opposite direction, which effectively "heavy" up the controls without affecting the stability. Remember, stability, and stick force pressures required are two different things. Other methods to "heavy" up the controls would be to move the hinge line forward, or to shorten the length of the elevators, while increasing the chord. You could also move the CG forward for a given aircraft. There is nothing inherently wrong with light stick forces. Try flying a Pitts sometime. People complaining about "unstable" airplanes, if flying an aircraft within the CG limits might take a long hard look at just how much control friction they have in their airplanes. Along the sides I installed a block of wood with nut plates that allowed a bolt to go through the outer tank fairings one on each side and into the nut plates which was attached to the wood blocks and the side frames of the fuselage. The tank is easily removed by removing four bolts and lifting the tank out after disconnecting the fuel lines of course.
