Do your plastic brake lines go all the way to the wheel cylinder from the master cylinder? What kind of brake lines(material) did you use to replace the old lines? The 6 inch tires will create a great deal of drag on a plane this small as well as some possible clearance problems between the top of the tires and wings during a hard landing. I have had my KR into a less than golf course smooth grass field complete with lots of lumps and bumps on my 5:00x5 tires without any problems. Another KR that was on the smaller 11x4-5 tires also landed there with me. Henri Pitot. This is where we get the name, "pitot tube." It should probably be capitalized like Fahrenheit, Mach, and Reynolds, but the capital seems to have been dropped many years ago.
