That was back about 1974 and it appeared on the cover of Sport Aviation right after Oshkosh that year. I made colored copies of it and presented them to Jeanette Rand at the last Gathering along with copies of Ken's KR2 that appeared in the same issue. I don't recall it being built in "a few weeks" but they put it together in a rather short time (as compared to the 10 years I've been working on mine.) I recall Jerome Hedinger (sp) from Wick's saying they cut it up at some point for liability reasons. You can make the tool yourself. It should look just like a segment of aircraft pulley, but sized to fit the tubing. The sand keeps the tubing from collapsing. Test it on scrap first.
