Any idea about the best ways to fix this? Jeff I have about the same number of hours on my KR2 and also have a few cracks. First you need to determine if the cracks are really in the glass or like mine just in the filler and paint. Very often they are a result of expansion and contraction of the filler. If this is the case, I plan to cover over that portion with very light glass cloth and epoxy, fill, prime and paint. This kind of cracking is common when ever the filler gets too thick and I know of no other method to permanently fix it. It is cheaper than buying the Dish 500 dish. You will also need to get the special splitter (the SW21 available through www.skyvision.com) that allows for two dishes to feed one receiver. Then, go into your setup menu and set the receiver as a Dish 500 system. Discovery Wings requires the Top 150 programming package. If you know anyone with an idle Dish Network or DirecTV dish, both will work, you can probably get it for a song. Then, run your cable from both dishes into the splitter and a single cable from the splitter into the receiver. There are 4 satellites for Dish but only two of them are used for Dish 500 service. Your setup menu will tell you where to point the second dish. Until about a month ago, I had a stack of dishes and would have given you one for the cost of shipping. As it is, I gave them to a friend who will be using them in his sculptures. I clicked on the message bar twice and got nothing. I was then going to send a message to Ross to see what the email was, to make sure it was not a mistake. When I hit the "reply" bar, Ross's message came up on the reply to sender window and I could then read it. I've had blank messages before but this is the first time I've found a way to see if there was really a message or if the send button was pushed before a message was typed. I thought some of you might find this useful --- Patrick Driscoll --- patrick36@earthlink.net --- EarthLink: It's your Internet. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 May 2001 18:15:36 +0200 To: From: "Serge F. These include: * * A very nice control panel, * * An incredible, MIL-Spec junction box, * * The famous foam seats, * * A South African made wooden propeller. I understand that the krnet server would not take the pics. Too bad! Those interested, please E-mail me direct so that I can post them to you.
