Still working on the new cowling, but have gone back to modifying the Revmaster. I just cut the bottom three fourths of it off and threw it away, since it was sort of squarish looking and had a huge bulge for carb and exhaust system that I don't need. My Weber nests neatly up under the engine, and leaves a lot of room down there, and since the exhaust is right next door, carb heat will be a snap. I think it'll turn out pretty neat looking. I ordered a new TIG welder (Lincoln 175 Square Wave) after Dr. Dean talked me into trying my hand with it at Oshkosh. I actually did a decent job of welding thin aluminum with about 5 seconds of practice! I can't wait to weld up my new intake and exhaust systems with it, and finish up the engine mount, among other things...
