Everything I look at in the catalogs seems to be so large. Any suggestions?<< The Whelen one that Wicks sells is not big at all, maybe 1.5" in diameter, very light, and is installed on my rudder. Maybe I can take a picture tomorrow. I think it's $65 or so. I'm too lazy to look it up at the moment. The old Newsletters also have one that a guy made from a pill bottle. It probably works too, but I doubt that it's a halogen with a Pyr*x dome. Bedtime, so the wife says.... There were serveral notes on fuel. One is that it is 20 to 25 cents cheaper to get your fuel from the self-serve site (southwest corner of ramp) than to get it off the truck. Second, there is a sharp dropoff on one side of the self-serve ramp to watch for. Fuel was listed at $2.72 a gal for 100LL. You may want to land with nearly full tanks!! The last fuel I put in the Tripacer, two weeks ago, was auto at $1.40/gal at the drop zone where I occasionally haul jumpers. airnav.com will do a price search in the area for you. Blue skies and CHEAP FUEL !!!!!!!!!!! Larry Flesner ------------------------------ End of krnet Digest ***********************************
