I mounted pitot pressure and static tubes together under the right stub wing as close as possible to the wing gap seal.. I have had no real problems with this installation but at times I have questioned if my airspeed was correct or not. In the process of testing I have disconnected the static line while in flight at cruise speeds on at least three different occasions and there was little or no change in my indicated airspeed. When I worked at Lockheed Aircraft in Marietta, GA, I met an engineer that told me they never were been able to find a true static port on the C5A. They had to select a spot with the least or near static pressure. If I were to rebuild my pitot system, I would only have a pressure tude/port under the wing and the static line would terminate in the cockpit. I think you can order individual parts from Matco, but I don't have their address handy. -- Ross Kobus de Wet wrote: > Does anybody have a spare brake actuator spindle, the part that goes through side of the brake system and forces the brake shoes apart during braking. > I tried to take up the slack, to prevent this part from toughing the wheel assembly bolts during rotation of the wheel and the head just snapped off.
