Can you put memory card in the new Sonys? If so that’s the way to go. I ended up buying the HP618xi. So far this has been a GREAT camera. HP also makes a printer now that reads the memory cards and you can print photos that match those of any developed on 35mm film. --- Jerry Mahurin wrote: > Netters, > > It sure took a long time for this response, but I > did a lot > of research on > this subject.... > > There is a lot of volitility in the digital imaging > world > right now. Message-ID: Some of the later Mavicas do take memory cards (sticks) and then Sony does make other models that use only memory cards, no diskettes.... But being the el Cheapo that I am, the FD73 Mavica is fine for me. The standard format on it is 640x480; real handy for web work. You can also set it to do the 640X48 and 1/4 size (?x?) for email. These are more or less defacto standard sizes for web work and email........ Go to my website http://www.jerrymahurin.com and see how fast the link to the 2001 Gathering loads. The thumbnails all point to .jpgs of about 640 size... Also with this set up, I am still able to print using the HP 722 Deskjet printer that I already have.
