The cotter pin for the Hex nut that wheel bearing load was replaced with 2 shorter cotter pins. The Wheel pant outboard hardware recessed into the wheel pant. The inherent shape of the wheel pant fairing is rigid enough and the bracket on the inboard (brake side) assumes most of the attachment loads. I am using the r.r. = measurements of 3" on the rudder horn, but they call out for 4" on the = pedals. they also did this on the control stick/ elevator horn. I have = interference over the main spar of about 1/2" even if I include the 1/4" = floor at the rudder pedals. I dont want to raise the point of attachment = on the pedals, but I really dont want to raise pedals themselves off the = floor any more than i have to. Anyone else run into the interference? = also , was wondering about a slight recess in the foam to better blend = the overlap of cloth. I know it has to be on the same plane for = strength, but why not sand a small recess in the foam, and let the = bottom layer go under the"plane" rather than over it? Does this make = sense? My rudder horn and rudder pedals are per the = plans.I am using the as5048 airfoil(taller). But when I run the cable = from the rudder to the pedals, It 'humps' over the main spar. I had my turtle deck perfectly = faired, when i laid it up i got the overlap and have a uneven joint,even = with peel ply ,I still have a good bump. I thought if i sanded a very = shalloy depression in the form, the bottom ply will be below the surface = where it dose'nt matter and the overlay will be flush on the outside. = Any Ideas? I will order my circuit breaker switches on Monday then I can do some major wiring. The VS was glassed and rudder cut free. I bought a Hawker Odyssey battery for the plane. Made a battery box mount and wired it in. I've been running oil and fuel lines. Made an alternator bracket for and mounted the ND Alt. New seat ribs and backrest were made and need to be cut out.
