The stuff works as long as you follow the directions and properly clean your surface prior to application. It sands very well and does a good job of pinhole filler. I do feel I need to mention a "new" product being used on the homebuilding market. Apparently PPG36 or 38 (38 costs more) is being used with great success as both a pinhole filler and primer. It is said to sand very easily and can be cut with MEK and troweled into trouble spots. You spray this stuff on instead of roller as you do with Smooth Prime. The scenerio seems to be dry sand with 120 and progress to wet/dry 380 or 400. It does not provide UV protection. There's a bunch of people singing the praises of this stuff. For more on PPG36/38 go to matronics.com, go the search engine and type in pinhole or primer or better yet PPG. You can spend all day reading. As I was looking over the KR2S supplement, I notice that Stations E and H are listed as 20.00 inches, Station F at 20.25 and Station I at 19 inches however there is none listed for Station O (the last station). On the KR2 plans, Station N (the last station) is listed as 11.00 inches. My question is two fold: 1st: Do I use 11.00 inches as the height for the last station? 2d: What is the best method to increase the length to use all of the material sent in the wood kit? I see in Mark Langford's site, he mentions adding 2.75" to each of the seven bays AFT of the aft spars. Is this the best way, or should I just add a new station (or a combination of the two)? On the 2S plans the last station (O) is 11". That is the one critical measurement missing from this drawing. Given it is a straight line back from station (I) to that 11" you can add a bay or extend existing bays a few inches. As long as you end up at 11". I wouldn't go too far back or you may exceed the original truss design specs and require extra wood and weight to be safe.
