I use full rich (run = rough at full rich) and a bit of carb heat, backoff throttle to 2700 rpm = to get it down. CHT's stay 300 front, 410 rear, oil temp is low green.I = have probes on all cylinders. Outside temp yesterday was 40 F, dry air, = nice day. All of this started after I pulled the engine forward about 8" to change = the rear shaft seal. I only disconnected the fuel line, throttle and = mixture linkage and split the case away from the Diehl case. The timing = is dead on (impulse and the timing lights come on at top dead center). I = used a dial gauge to determine Top Dead Center. Has something changed in the carb? It is not fuel starved. Use 100LL = avgas.=20 Could my carb needle be out of adjustment? It was locked in by the lock = screw. ECG temps were lower before the seal change. The CHT's are near the same = if not lower. The last compression tests were all 78 over 80. You guys with this engine carb combo let me know what you think Al. ------=_NextPart_000_0020_01C27D2D.A381FA80-- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 27 Oct 2002 20:21:56 -0800 (Pacific Standard Time) To: From: "Daniel Heath" Subject: Re: KR> What changed Message-Id: <3DBCBB64.000001.01268@dan> --------------Boundary-00=_K4COQL80000000000000 Content-Type: Multipart/Alternative; boundary="------------Boundary-00=_K4COLVC0000000000000" --------------Boundary-00=_K4COLVC0000000000000 Content-Type: Text/Plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Al, What was it before?
