It was not a KR, however the concept is the same. The nose of the pants was removed and small round lights were imbedded into the that spot. The wires were run up the gear legs. Two lights can be used, one aimed for landing and the other for taxi. It should not take too much imagination. If the lights are planted too deep in the pants, the removed nose section could be used to form a clear plexi lens. I seem to recall that some Cessnas or Pipers that had cowl mounted landing lights suffered bulb life problems. Then again , at my age, this may all be a figment of my imagination. :-) Larry Flesner --===============44216742124536501== Content-Type: message/rfc822 MIME-Version: 1.0 Date: Mon, 21 Apr 2003 08:44:08 -0700 (PDT) From: Scott Cable To: KRnet@mylist.net Subject: KR>Michigan Builders & Great Lakes Fly-In Message-ID: <20030421154408.81551.qmail@web40810.mail.yahoo.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii MIME-Version: 1.0 Precedence: list Message: 9 Netter's,Because of scheduling concerns, etc. of other builders, unfortunately forces a post-ponement of the Michigan Builders & Great Lakes Fly-In.
