Yeah! Right! Every time I've called Aircraft Spruce to order more wood to complete my Kr, ( because I got shorted form you to begin with ) I have been told that it was backordered and would most likely be 6 weeks to fill the order. I order all of my spruce form Wicks even though I live in Phx, AZ just because they can ship the order in a day not 6 weeks. Sure I am paying more for shipping but at least I get my wood the same week I order it. The quality of the order is a completely different story. Like I said before when I got my wood kits for the Kr I never received any wood for the horizontal stab spars and the spar stock I was sent for the wings was not the right dimension. It was about .050 of an inch to thin and then I still had to true it up on a planer before I could use it. I even had a problem with my credit card one time when I placed an order from Wicks and they shipped the order any way and told my to pay them when it got resolved. Would A/C spruce do that? My question; Is 45 dgrees enough, or should I find a way to increase it? I'm using Rand Robinson's flap control which deflects to 45 degrees max. Even though the handle = only travels 45=B0, the linkage can be set up where the board deflects to = whatever position you wish. I am going to set mine up for a full 90=B0 = deflection. Of course, since there are three settings on the flap handle control, this = will give me three degree settings. My design is unique as it works like a big mouse trap. Using a self designed torque tube that applies spring tension in the closed position I only need 1 cable to activate it. I built my own actuator mechanism that deflects the aluminum belly board to 60 deg. I thought I wanted 90 deg as well but ended up w/60. This works very well as I cut my landing distance by approx 1/3. But at 70 mph over the #'s you must pay attention as the sink rate is incredable. I was going to re do the actuator assy to get 90 deg but I'm rethinking that at this point. Over the winter I'm going to rebuild and RESEAL the Revmaster 2100 as I'm tired of chasing oil leaks.-----------------6399U On Thu, 13 Nov 2003 10:55:54 -0600 Mark Jones writes: > > Paul, > I too am going to use the Rand flap control.
