David Mikesell I chopped her up in little pieces and buried her where no one will ever find her. Oh, you meant the airplane. Well I chopped it up into little pieces and took it to the salvage yard for scrap. My first attempt at metal working and airplain building was not symmetrical and not at all neat, compared to some of the fine work I've seen on the net. I learned a lot, and don't regret scrapping her, but next time around I'll take more time. When my daughter and son-in-law got evicted, we had to shuffle things around to make room in the house, and stuffed their household goods into the garage. The plane was taking up valuable space. Actually it was pretty funny. The scrap yard had never received an airplane as recyclable material, so they mounted the tail feathers on the wall like a trophy. -- Daniel E. This rig was acquired for my old scrapped T2 project. Right now, it's mounted on an engine stand and attached to a full set of remote controls. I built a box with key switch electric starter, mag, electronic ignition, alternator switches, throttle and mixture as well. Gravity fuel feed comes from a little 1 quart mower tank suspended from a garage rafter. I inverted the intake so the carb's above the engine, as a means to make tuning the carb easier. When I make everything working correctly, I'll reinstall everything correctly. The idea was that if I decided to build another project, I could run the motor now and again to keep the seals and gaskets from drying out. If I decided to sell the motor, the prospective owner could hear it run. From what I've read there are many who consider a POSA a POS. As yet I have no opinion in that regard because I've not had my engine running long enough to come to a decision. The engine starts off the mag every time, and then stops after a few seconds. Longest it's run is about 15 seconds. I suspect that inadequate fuel pressure is the culprit, so I'll suspend a bigger tank to see if it makes a difference. Somewhere around my garage there's an old jerry can with a petcock I installed on the bottom. However, the POSA could be the problem as well. Any thoughts on fuel pressure and POSA carbs that might explain why my engine dies after a few seconds? -- Daniel E. I'd like to get my engine off my bodged-together engine stand onto something more stable. For now I'd go with just about anything that will fit, but of course I'd prefer a mount that's designed for a KR2. I'm thinking I'd like to change carbs as well. So many of you KRnetters have expressed varying degrees of unhappiness with the POSA carb, that I'd like to switch mine out, to something more reliable and easier to tune.
