I wanted to know how the KR would handle a cross wind before it became necessary. Needless to say it was very bumpy, I had to tighten up my seat belt. The good news is that I had full control over the KR all the way to touch down. The small rudder is very surprising in its control authority. When taxing I use only the rudder control and only the tap the brakes in tight turns, etc. Stalls are straight-forward. The indication of a stall is the stick gets light before the stall occurs. I once had my head down in the cockpit on a cross-country. I noticed the stick get light in plenty of time to avoid a stall. The stall is straight-forward and smooth. There is no sudden break but a gentle smooth break with no tendency to fall off on one wing.
