Amen to that one! And we sure do appreciate the flight testing. It's nice to have a NetHead behind the stick who's willing to answer the tough questions for us. So who's going to take their door off for this year's photos? If you sell the Tripe to somebody local, make sure you reserve it for September 25th. Troy can fly my plane for the photo shoot... Long hard battle with a bad valve. He almost died about 12 years ago on the table getting a bypass. Didn't want to do it again. Though my dad did not fly, in fact the opposite, he shot down a Zero in WWII. He was a gunner on a merchant ship, and was proud to serve. He had the full military funeral with taps and gun salute. It was a cold windy day in Illinois flatland country, with old vets braving -10 windchill during the funeral to do the honors. I was as proud of them as I was dad. Steve McGee Endeavor Wi. There were some areas on my cowl which were pretty badly pitted with pin holes and weave. Yesterday morning, I applied a very thin film of the West System on my cowl. Be sure to squeegee off all excess epoxy. The remaining epoxy flowed into every pin hole and weave impression. Twelve hours later the epoxy had cured completely and left an incredibly smooth surface. All I have to do is sand the surface to give the primer some tooth to grip to. This was the easiest pin hole filling that I have ever done and I have tried many types of filler over the last six years.
