The ailerons are done and ready to paint. The wings need once more over on the tops only and then ready to paint. I laid up the top of my cowl out of carbon fiber today in a mold I took off from a RR cowl but I extended it 2". The bottom will be latter this week. I weighed every thing last week and will be around 715#. A lot more than I thought but no changing it now. I hope to have the plane back together by the end of the month. I stopped in at an Auto Zone today. They have the LED light bulbs like Mark Jones is using for a tail light. $7.99 They have red and white in stock in the hip hop car section. INC. KR-1B If you want to do aircraft searches I recommend going to "AVWEB" site. It gives a lot better search engine than the "LANDINGS" site. It's my understanding that with a motorglider you can fly with a glider rating and "self-certify" on the medical. Whether or not you can "self-certify" if you have a known medical problem that disqualifies you for a flight physical I don't know. I believe the RV builder that is selling LED bulb kits did a computer model or something to determine the angle of each element to get the required coverage. PayPal charges 2.9% plus 30 cents to the seller for each transaction. That is if they have a Premier or Business account.
