Now I know why...... :-) I, however will never talk down a taildragger. I meant carpet dragger. In the gliders is used the call negative aileron, movement that takes both ailerons to about 8º up and prevents to have to compensate this moment in the empenaje. The Pollywagen has commands with this possibility (and I copy it for my KR-2). Probably your ailerons go naturally to the corrected position. My modest contribution to the general confusion. Still more testing to go. I flew with the new Sensnich prop out to a small grass field south of Saint Augustine FL where Dan Weesman has his mone and hanger. He is working on a 3100 Corvair powered "Cleanex" - a clean Sonex. This is the first grass strip Ive been in with the KR. 2600 feet was no problem at all. Bob Lester was visiting the area to check out new properties so we all went for lunch and had a good time. Left there about 4:30 pm and flew home - about a 45 minute flight. The new prop has much better acceleration and did fine in the grass - better than my Prince would have done. Ill do more testing a get yall such numbers soon. All three props Ive tested work very well with slight diifferences in performance. There is no perfect prop - just good compromises - but there are bad props....be wise and learn from other peoples trials and testings. Ill be doing more work on 41768 in the next few weeks and give some updates when I can. Fly safe! I had a nice Jodel, high time engine. I sold it, and the buyer had some problems; had the crankshaft chromed up to size and reground. Was not radiused. Broke. Aircraft destroyed by landing in a mature fiels of corn. Also, I had a Crankshaft extension on Ron's 1 . After I took it off, I felt a LOT better. Sorry for your problems, but it sounds like you handled it REALLY WELL. Good for you! First - well done on staying focused and flying the airplane - you made the right descision in landing at the field you could make! good job on the deadstick. Nice to hear that you are okay. It will be interesting to know about the crank since the other failures never had any oil leakage like in your photo - document well so we can learn more. If I can help let me know. Hope to see you in the air very soon...I am looking forward to flying with you some more. Hi to the family.
