Since the warm weather I glassed the bottom side of the Horizontal Sab.. But, I got my engine back from the machine shop. The crank is rusted to .09 and it would require cutting to 20/20 to make it work. According to William I can't use. Well back on the phone looking for another engine. All the hours I spent on the bad engine I could have been working the plane. At least I have clean case halves. Back to the garage to sand on some more foam. Here in NM you only pay the annual registration, which is $.02/lb of gross weight for the first two years, $.015/lb for the second 2 years, then $.01/lb of gross weight once the airplane is more than 4 years old. My 1200 lb gross KR cost me $24 the first two years, and now cost me $12/year to keep registered with the state. Other states often times expect to collect sales tax on either the value of the plane or the value of the parts purchased that did not have sales tax paid previously, plus the annual registration fee. -Jeff On Sat, 22 Jan 2005 10:22:47 -0500 "Jack Cooper" writes: > I live in NC and have registered my airplane.
