To: "KRnet" Message-ID: <008301c5db79$272eee40$1202a8c0@1700xp> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" When I pulled my aft deck off last week, the piano hinges had a little rust on them, so they were kind of squeaky coming out. I seem to remember somebody saying they had discovered the ultimate piano hinge pin lubricant a while back. Can somebody remind me what it was and where to get it (NAPA, I'm thinking)? If all else fails, I'll probably just wax 'em, right after I Scotchbrite 'em, but I vaguely remember somebody saying they had "just the ticket". I plan on putting it back together tomorrow night or Saturday and doing a cross-country to my father's farm on Sunday. You guys who know people who are not on the net, get them on here if you can. Richard Shirley comes to mind, and there is a long list of others. What about using the gathering attendee list and some photos from the gathering to get them on? See N64KR at http://KRBuilder.org - Then click on the pics See you in Mt. I had actually forgotten this till I placed an order a couple of days ago and they told me I had the credit. Just a friendly reminder. There are not a lot of suppliers out there who would pay you $15 for filling out a simple form. Thanks Wick's. To: "KRnet" Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" I sent an email to the manufacturer a long time ago asking what they recommended, but I never got an answer so I used lithium grease and it worked good. One trick I did figure out was using a small allen wrench to glob a little bit in each hole. If you just put it on the pin it all starts to wipe off as the pin goes in and you have hardly any left at the end of the pin that went in first. It is in the original box and unused. I got it with my Midget Mustang, but I have two other transponders already so won't be installing it. It sells for $1,349.00 at Aircraft Spruce. First $1,100 takes it. Email me direct at brian@engalt.com or call 904-536-1780. Used to make draws and door hinges work better, I use if for curtain rod . I will use it on my Piano Hinge, but not till after painting, and do not want it on the painting area. Have used it on a spare hinge and seem to work well.
