The RAF48. See http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford/kraf48.html for details and coordinates. But the only valid reason I can see to use it would be because some government agency forces you to. I have known of several aircraft that have employed them, and they had some unusual spin recovery techinques to say the least. Several pilots I know have flown twins with them, one specifically the Mitsubishi model, and had nothing good to say about the configuration. There are certain flight conditions where the spoilers just do not give enough roll control response, and I personally would only use them for speed control and altitude control, like the inboard mounted kind used for slowing down, or altitude loss. First to Guntersville, where I circled an old friend's house for a few minutes taking pictures. I'll send him one with his Christmas card to let him know the plane is finished. Then a few landings at Guntersville airport, and then north to Fayetteville, TN, where I did about 12 more touch and goes. I was the only guy there so I was just whipping around the pattern. I punched the stopwatch on one run, and without doing anything spectacular, did a pattern in less than three minutes, takeoff to takeoff. That's hummin' in my book! Except for landings, I've been flying the thing wide open most of the time. Towards the end I just bummed around a while and looked at stuff on the ground, and then back to Hazel Green. Changed the oil and washed the plane, ready for the cross country to my father's farm for Christmas (although I plan to fly some more this week). The engine is still running great, although I have a small oil leak that I'm too lazy to fix. The new oil cooler inlet was a big improvement. I'm finally starting to feel like I know how to land this thing. As I was getting out of the plane I said out loud, "I'm a KR PILOT now"...
