If you tell them in advance they will build the brackets to your specs. I wound up putting on a backing plate. There are some pictures on my web site. And even with the engine run this past week I was going through numbers on the monitor and it wasn't until latter that I rememberred hooking up some more functions and knew what some of the readings were. I have one thing that I didn't shake out on my panel yet. when I turn the radio off the turn coordinator slows down. I think that I have a ground back feeding some how. Congrats on one more step closer. I think it is dated around Dec 2000 but hey airports don't move much around here . I suspect it is a programmed replacable chip.Garmin have discontinued support for this model GPS which is a great pity since it is very popular over here for those who want a reliable no frills panel unit that can drive an autopilot. Stretched, widened, and using his ZenVair nosebowl. Interesting! I assume he will be using the AS50XX-series airfoil on it. The blue plug is the to cap off the passageway. My main concern was to not put a bolt thru the drilled out passageway. r/Bernie Lexington Park, MD KR2S Builder ------------------------------ Message: 8 Date: Tue, 4 Jan 2005 20:54:33 -0500 (Eastern Standard Time) From: "Dan Heath" Subject: Re: KR> Grove gear To: "krnet@mylist.net" Message-ID: <41DB48D9.000007.02152@DANHOMECOMPUTER> Content-Type: Text/Plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Bernie, I love that gear and installation. To: krnet@mylist.net Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Hello all, My name is Larry Husky and I am located in Bentonville, Arkansas. I have been flying ultralights for awhile and have flown some Cessna's and Pipers. I am really wanting to get into experimentals and have been watching KR's for some time. I am getting really close to getting something to play with. If anybody out there has a project they dont have time for, or a complete airframe that needs some work, I would be interested in it. I am wanting to build my own engine and do all that fun stuff, but the more complete the airframe is, the better. I hope to get a project and learn a lot from all of you. I belonged to a group for my ultralight and they helped me learn a lot. If this group is anything like that one, it will be a pleasure. I am really wanting to make the gathering in 2005. I have visited several web sights and looked at a lot of KRs. There are some real beautiful KR's out there. I think my favorite KR from the 2004 gathering has to be the picture of the bird below. This is my kind of bird!! I would love to get my hands on this one and make some magic!! Have a great day!!! For a couple of reasons...to get the wider distance between tires based on the handling reports like what Larry F reported with his 8ft separation and it also replicates what those with the Diehl gear were using/doing that I had seen. r/Bernie Lexington Park, MD KR2S Builder ------------------------------ Message: 13 Date: Tue, 4 Jan 2005 21:27:38 -0700 From: "Lee Van Dyke" Subject: KR> wing bolts To: "KRnet" Message-ID: <000a01c4f2de$e3b073b0$7501a8c0@SNAKEBITE> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Netters, Does anybody know the size and lenths of the wing bolts? Never knew about gundrilling before so I had a quick look around the web - amazing equipment, I am pleased that I now know about it - thanks. I presume that they drill the passageways in the flat metal and then bend the leg to shape.
